Community Events at Studious
Each month, Studious hosts a limited number of community events to provide a low-cost event space to promote mutual aid, friendship, learning and sustainability!
This usually involves:
- A creative/educational endeavor that’s open to the public
- Supporting low-income residents / legacy businesses in Chinatown
- Fundraising for a local Chinatown cause / project
- Affordable/inclusive pricing
Here are some rules to keep our energy and bandwidth sustainable to keep doing these events regularly!
- No alcohol allowed
- Limit 20 guests
- Food & Drinks OK but please do not leave trash, food or dirty dishes behind
- Tables & Chairs can be moved but need to be put back into same place
- Trash must be taken out after event
- All A/C & Lights turned off
- Guests to stay in event space only
- Music only after 6pm. OK on weekends if no other events happening
- You can tape things to the walls, just take everything off afterwards
- Yes! We have a TV that you can borrow with all the cables/adaptors
- Yes! You can use our black & white laser printer
- Yes! We have a dry erase board you can use
- No nails or thumbtacks on the walls please
